The next no-confidence motion will be brought against Minister Rajitha Senaratne, the Joint Opposition said yesterday (May 31).
The failure to take action against Kurunegala Hospital doctor Mohamed Shafi who has been accused of sterilization will be one of the key points of the motion, parliamentarian Indika Anuruddha told a news conference.
In addition, the failure of the government to legally acquire the Neville Fernando hospital despite bearing its expenses will also be a contentious issue that would be raised in the motion, he said.
Mr. Anuruddha noted that Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa has already begun talks with Opposition party leaders in this regard.
Accordingly, the motion will be brought forward after the no-confidence motion against Minister Rishad Bathiudeen is taken up in Parliament.
