Former Additional Solicitor General Sarath Jayamanne has been sworn in as Fiji's new High Court judge, Justice Jayamanne joined the Fijian judiciary after being sworn-in by President Jioji Konousi Konrote yesterday.
The new judge has served in the Sri Lankan judiciary for 26 years as a prosecutor and prior to his appointment in Fiji, he was the Additional Solicitor General with responsibilities such as conducting special cases and supervising the work of junior prosecutors. (Fiji Times)
