The Kandy Fire Service unit yesterday (Feb 01) had responded swiftly to a fire which had broken out inside a building in Kandy.
The fire had broken out at a shop which sells plastic items, a spokesman for the Kandy Fire Brigade said.
Swift measures had been taken to prevent the fire from spreading towards other buildings in the area.
