Kapila Chandrasena, against whom strictures were made during a Presidential Commission probe on the affairs of SriLankan Airlines, has been appointed the new chairman of the national airline, officials sources confirmed on Tuesday..
He takes over on Tuesday from Ranjith Fernando who resigned from the post.
Mr. Chandrasena was once the CEO of the airline and also simultaneously held another post at a state institution which was deemed irregular and figured at the Presidential Commission probing malpractices at the national airline. Of the other members of the board, Mano Tittawella has also resigned. – ENDS -
