A garment factory employee working within the Katunayake Free Trade Zone has tested positive for COVID and transferred for treatment, Police said.
The employee, a resident of Seeduwa had been first admitted to the Negombo hospital and transferred to a quarantine centre in Marawila where she was tested positive for coronavirus.
She was employed in one of the large factories which employees over 1,500 employees.
