The water levels of the Kelani River have risen once again. The Department of Irrigation reports the water level of the Kelani River as indicated on the water gauge in Nagalagama Street has increased to 7 metres.
Reports suggest that a flash flood situation could develop and those living in low lands on the banks of the Kelani River have been asked to be vigilant.
