Land dispute leaves one dead in Narammala
An individual was killed over a longstanding land dispute in Narammala yesterday (Sept 23), police said.
The victim has been identified as 38-year old S. Kanthi Gunathilaka. His remains currently lie at the Kurunegala hospital.
According to the police, the victim had been assaulted using an iron pole.
The suspect believed to have carried out the killing has been taken into custody, police noted.
Further investigations are underway.
