Lotus Road closed due to protest by SAITM students

Lotus Road in Colombo has been closed by police for vehicular traffic owning to a protest march by students of SAITM and their parents. 

The SAITM issue continues to cause controversy and protests in Colombo. Yesterday, police used tear gas and water cannon to break up a protest march organized by the Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) against SAITM.
