Former leader of the LTTE's Women’s Sea Tiger wing Burugesu Pahiradi was arrested by the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) today while attempting to flee the country, local media reported. She was arrested at the BIA in Katunayake yesterday (Feb 2) while trying to leave the country for France. She is the wife of LTTE stalwart Subramaniyam Jayaganesan alias Samiraj.
