Former President Mahinda Rajapksa was seen visiting his brother Former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa at the National Hospital.
Basil Rajapaksa was remanded till May 5 by Kaduwela Magistrate recently. He was charged for alleged misuse of Rs. 70 million Public funds when he was the minister in the previous government.
He was admitted to the prison hospital due to his health condition and subsequently a request was granted to allow Mr Rajapaksa to be admitted to the Out Patients Department (OPD) of the Colombo National Hospital yesterday.
Former Chairman of SriLankan Airlines, Nishantha Wickramasinghe, arrested on allegation of corruption by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has been remanded until July 1 by the Colombo Magistrate court.
