MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage and the former Sathosa Chairman have been issued summons to appear before the Special High Court on July 26 over a fraud case.
Mr. Aluthgamage and former Sathosa Chairman Nalin Fernando have been accused of causing losses worth more than Rs 40 million during the presidential election in 2015.
According to the Bribery Commission, the fraud had occured while purchasing 14,000 carrom boards and 11,000 checker boards during Aluthgamage's tenure as Sports Minister.
