UPDATE: ‘Makandure Madush’ handed over to CCD
Update : Underworld Kingpin ‘Makandure Madush’ has been taken to the Colombo Crimes Division for further questioning following his arrest by the CID this morning, Police said.
Madush deported from Dubai ; arrested by CID
Notorious underworld kingpin ‘Makandure Madush’, has been deported today from Dubai and was arrested at the Katunayake International Airport by the CID.
Madush along with several other prominent underworld figures and a popular Sri Lankan singer were among the suspects arrested during a joint operation in Dubai in February this year.
Sri Lanka Police have been on the hunt for Madush, who is a wanted criminal for the past couple of years as he has managed to evade arrest by Sri Lankan and foreign authorities.
