An unidentified individual who was rescued and admitted to the Colombo General Hospital after he was spotted floating in the Galle Face sea, has died yesterday (Jan 31).
People who were in the vicinity along with police officers had managed to rescue the individual at around 6:40 pm yesterday.
The deceased who was clad in a black trouser and a blue checked shirt is suspected to be between the age of 60 and 65.
His remains currently lie at the Colombo General Hospital. Police are investigating further in this regard.
