Manchester Attack: No Lankan casualties
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that so far, there have been no reports of Sri Lankan nationals being affected by last night's terrorist attack in Manchester, UK.
The Ministry says that it is in touch with the Sri Lankan High Commission in the UK and there have so far been no reports of any Sri Lankans being caught up in the tragedy.
Sri Lanka has joined a host of nations condemning the attack.
At least 19 people have been confirmed dead and over 50 others injured after a suspected suicide bomber blew himself up at Manchester Arena last night. The attack came at the end of a pop concert by US singer Ariana Grande.
Reports said many of the thousands of people present at the site of the attack were teenagers.
