A march in support of the 19th Amendment and the Sathyagraha campaign by Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera at the Ayurveda Junction in Rajagiriya began a short while ago. Several organizations such as Purawasi Balaya and Aluth Parapura extended their support to the march and the sathyagraha campaign. The marchers are heading towards the parliament circus. Heavy traffic was reported in all roads leading towards parliament due to the protest. Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga also joined the march. The decision to launch the sathyagraha campaign was taken during a meeting of National Movement for Social Justice on Sunday (April 26).
