Former Minister Mervyn Silva, yesterday (Dec 08) expressed willingness to contest under the UNP since former President Mahinda Rajapaksa had destroyed his political career.
Mr. Silva justified his decision to contest under the UNP while claiming that the former President had destroyed him by denying his nomination through the latter's party.
The former Minister had said that he would be willing to contest under any electorate that is given to him by UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.
