The Foreign Affairs minsitry said that all Srilankan nationals stranded in Lumbini have left safely due to continous protests in the region. W.M. Senaviratne, the Srilankan Ambassador in Nepal appealed to the pilgrims not to visit Lumbini until further notice and requested the pilgrims to call their hotline numbers in Katmandu prior to their visit.Ambassador Senaviratne said that necessary steps have been taken to send the stranded pilgrims to the country as soon as possible.
