Three cabinet ministers yesterday wrote to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to probe into the allegations levelled by the chairman of Avant Garde security company against them.
Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne and Megapolis, Western Development Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka and Ports and Shipping Minister Arjuna Ranatunga wrote to the police chief yeterday.
They said that in the interview given by the Chairman Maj (rtd) Nissanka Senadhipathi appeared in the local newspapers and websites, he made defamatory remarks against them.
In the letter to the IGP, they rejected the allegations levelled by Mr Senadhipathi that they obtained money for election campaigning or demanded bribes.
