The Sports Ministry is to inquire into the matter concerning the athletes who have fallen ill with dengue fever.
Youth Affairs, State Minister Duminda Dissanayake who left the country yesterday made these remarks while addressing the media in Nepal.
He further added that all facilities are being provided to the sick athletes. He said that while the athletes are away from their families , the Ministry of Sports, the Nepalese Government, the National Organising Committee and other authorities were making sure that every need was being met and that there was nothing to worry.
Currently 7 athletes are suffering from the dengue fever. However, Mr Dissanayake added that they would be able to travel with the rest of the athletes and return to the country on Dec 11.
Minister Dissanayake who is representing the government told media that the next South Asian Games will be held in Sri Lanka.
