More explosives have been recovered upon questioning of the Pallai Hospital Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) who had been arrested on terror charges recently.
The explosives had been concealed inside small plastic jars and had been hidden among the rocks along the Aliyawalai coast in Jaffna.
Police had sought the assistance of the Navy to recover the explosives.
The JMO, 41-year old Sinnaiyyah Sivaruban, is being questioned by the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID).

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
