The Health Ministry will handover internship appointments to 1400 private medical graduates today (Sept 12).
Among these graduates, more than 1,000 individuals had qualified from private universities overseas.
Accordingly, the Ministry will provide internships for several positions at district and base hospitals in the country.
In July, the Supreme Court instructed the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) to register students who have completed medical degrees in recognized foreign universities and also passed the SLMC examination.
