More than 150,000 vehicles are expected to travel via the Southern Expressway during the next two days, an official at the Road Development Authority said.
Some 130,000 vehicles have travelled along the Expressway yesterday alone, an official noted adding that vehicle queues were building up for about 45 mins at the Expressway toll gate.
Accordingly, measures will be taken to divert vehicles from the nearest interchange in the event of a huge queue in order to avoid traffic congestion, the official said.
