A mother and her son have died while two others were left injured after a van had collided with a train in Ambalangoda today (Sept 12).
Police have identified the mother as a 50-year old and the son as a 23-year old.
Meanwhile, the father and son had also been injured in the mishap which had taken place at the Kandegoda rail crossing.
They have been hospitalised, police noted.
