Former Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne, who is receiving treatment at a private hospital in Narahenpita, has filed a motion through his lawyers at the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court seeking permission to seek consultation at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.
His lawyers said they hoped the travel ban would be lifted in order to submit medical reports from from the private hospital where he is being treated at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.
Meanwhile, Mr Senaratne who was receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Narahenpita Private Hospital since Dec 26 2019 has been transferred to a general ward this afternoon.
