Parliamentarian Shantha Bandara has resigned from the national list of the United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA).
The UPFA MP resigned to fill the vacancy of Parliamentarian Salinda Dissananayake who passed away this week.
Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri who chaired today's parliamentary session informed the House on the resignation of Mr. Bandara.
The resignation letter had been read out by the secretary-general of Parliament.
