MP Namal Rajapaksa has called moves to form a national unity government a temporary measure by the UNP to appease disgruntled members with portfolios.
Mr Rajapaksa took to his official Twitter handle to express his views on the formation of a national unity government question how the move would benefit the people.
@officialunp moves to form national Gov might momentarily fix internal conflicts within the party by appeasing members with portfolios, but how will it benefit the #lka people? This must be the democracy they claimed to uphold when they vehemently opposed parliamentary #elections
