The CID has summoned the Operations Director of the Anti-Corruption Force Namal Kumara once again for questioning over an investigation into an alleged plot to assassinate President Maithripala Sirisena and the Former Secretary of Defence Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
Operations Director Namal Kumara told local media he has been issued with a summons to appear before the CID on Wednesday. Namal Kumara was questioned by the CID for 10 hours last week, over investigations into an alleged plot to assassinate the President and the Former Secretary of Defence.
Convening a media briefing in Kandy earlier this month, Mr Kumara revealed a plan to assassinate President Maithripala Sirisena and the former Defence Secretary.
He also released several voice recordings of phone conversations allegedly by Deputy Inspector General of the Terrorist Investigation Division Nalaka De Silva.
