Parliamentarians Namal Rajapaksa, Wimal Weerawansa and his wife Shashi will appear before the CID next week in the case involving an alleged VIP assassination plot.
These individuals were ordered to be present before the CID to record a statement on the alleged assassination plot involving the President and former defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
This was informed by the CID when the case was taken up for hearing before the Colombo Fort Magistrates court today (Jan 16).
Meanwhile, former DIG Nalaka de Silva who has been arrested over the alleged plot has been further remanded until January 21.
