The United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Western Provincial Councilor Nauzer Fowzie, who was arrested today morning released on bail by Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya. Earlier he was arrested by the Colombo Crime Division (CCD) for allegedly threatening a businessman with a firearm in 2012.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
