Navy arrests 11 local fishermen for illegal fishing
Naval personnel in Nachchikuda arrested eleven local fishermen who engaged in illegal fishing activities using monofilament nets in the seas off Muddalampiddi on Tuesday. Along with the suspects 7 Fiber Glass Dinghies and 8 Monofilament nets were taken into naval custody.
The arrested fishermen and the items were handed over to Mannar Directorate of Fisheries for onward action.
