Five fishermen, who were fishing near Katchatheevu, were today arrested by Sri Lankan Navy and taken to Talaimannar, a functionary of a local fishermen's association said. The fishermen were asked to follow the Lankan Naval personnel when they were fishing, Rameswaram Fishermen's Association President S Emirit said. The arrest comes a day after 15 local fishermen were arrested by the Lankan Navy for allegedly poaching in that country's waters near Katchatheevu. (PTI)
