Navy nabs 200 kilos of narcotics in joint operation

A joint operation carried out by the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN), Excise Department along with other intelligence agencies nabbed four suspects along with 100 kilos of each heroin and crystal methamphetamine (ice), from Thoduwawa in Marawila, yesterday (06 Dec).

SLN said illegal drug haul was caught in boxes packed for delivery and onward distribution.

Accordingly, 4 suspects in the drug ring with 4 automobiles utilized for the delivery were taken into custody, Navy said.
