Navy officer among two killed in stabbing incident

Two persons, including a navy officer were killed after being stabbed during a brawl at Sooriyawewa last night. Police say the brawl had taken place as a result of a dispute between two groups. 

A 22-year-old youth has been identified as the other victim in the stabbing incident. 

It is reported that the navy officer had attempted to intervene and stop the youth from being stabbed.
