Ten persons were rescued by the Navy after they were trapped in the Northern seas last night.
According to the Navy, the boat belonging to the group had entangled itself in a rope thereby leaving them trapped in the waters.
The incident had occured when they were heading towards Analativu Islands from Karappan in Kayts yesterday (Jul 5).
Navy officers had taken swift measures to deploy an offshore patrol vessel and a dinghy boat to rescue the trapped victims 1.5 nautical miles away from Karappan.
