Nawalapitiya - Thalawakele road closed for five days
The Nawalapitiya - Thalawakele road via Rawanagoda has been closed down for five days due to collapse soil and stones on to the road, an official of the Road Development Authority said.
The road is expected to be cleared within the next five days and precautions taken to ensure safety for travellers.
Accordingly villagers in the Pathana, Bogahawatta, Kotmale and Maldeniya are among those affected.
