Moves are afoot to form a new alliance led by the SLFP to face elections in future, General Secretary of the SLFP Prof. Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa said.
He further added that discussions are currently underway to determine the logo and the name of the alliance.
Prof. Piyadasa also said that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and President Maithripala Sirisena would be the leaders of the alliance.
Commenting on the composition of the alliance, he said that the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna will also be included in the same.
