Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in Colombo yesterday (Jan 22) said that the new Democratic Party, the Democratic National Front, will be established within the next two weeks.
Mr Wickremesinghe was addressing the opening ceremony of the Dematagoda Siyatha Sewana Housing Project when he made these remarks.
Further he said that all political parties and organizations that respect democracy including the United National Front and all other political parties will come together to build up this new political force.
The main objective of this broader political party is the rebuilding of the country, Mr Wickremesinghe added.
