New DIG for PM's security division

A new DIG was appointed to the Prime Minister's security division, the government news portal reported. DIG (Logistics) at Police Headquarters, Jayantha Wickramasinghe has been appointed as DIG of the Prime Minister's Security Division (PMSD) with immediate effect, Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, Director of the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) SSP Asanka Karawita has been appointed as Director of the PMSD.

Fuel prices revised

The price of Lanka Petrol 92 Octane has been reduced by Rs. 5, while the price of Lanka Super Diesel Star Euro 4 has been increased by Rs. 5, from midnight today, October 31, 2025, according to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.
