Jathika Hela Urumaya parliamentarian Champika Ranawaka has said that the priority of the new government is to take legal action against corrupt individuals.
Addressing the 'Yukthiye Satana' rally at Galle Face, MP Ranawaka said that the next 10 months are going to be crucial.
Speaking further, he said that Rajapaksa and his supporters believed that they could remain in power until 2025 or 2030 in a bid to cover up their corrupt activities.
MP Ranwaka proceeded to state that the UNF would field its own candidate at the upcoming Presidential polls.
He explained that they had previously helped a common candidate into power and the people now want the UNF to put forth their own candidate.
