The Department of Railways will deploy an extra office train along the Kelani Valley line to address shortages of office trains on the line.
Transport Minister Gamini Lokuge stated that the train, between Avissawella and Colombo, will run twice on a daily basis on week days. The train will also have extra carriages.
The Minister said that he has instructed the Railways Department to look into shortages of trains along other lines as well and deploy more office trains if necessary.
