A new commemorative postal stamp will be issued by the Philatelic Bureau of the Postal Department to mark the State Vesak Festival on April 29 under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena, the Government Information department said.
The new stamp valued at Rs. 12 has been designed by stamp designer Palitha Gunasinghe. The stamp depicts the ancient Bingiriya Rajamaha Viharaya, where the State Vesak Festival will be held.
