Ajith Basnayake has been appointed as the organizer of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party for Gampaha Electorate and received his appointment letter from the President Maithripala Sirisena at the President’s Official Residence yesterday April 26.
In addition, Chaminda Kumara Sudusinghe has been appointed as the District organizer of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party for Colombo District.
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
The Presidents’ Entitlements (Repeal) Bill was passed by a majority of 150 in parliament today. However the opposition MP’s were absent during the voting.
