Newly elected SLC board called on President

The board of officers, including the newly elected President of Sri Lanka Cricket Board -Thilanga Sumathipala called on President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secetariat yesterday, President Media Unit said..

President Sirisena congratulated Mr. Thilanga Sumathipala on his victory. He also engaged in a very cordial and friendly discussion with the officials. The officials apprised the President regarding the future plans for the upliftment of cricket.

The President gave advice to the officials to take necessary steps for the development of the Sri Lankan cricket team. The president pointed out the necessity of developing facilities to encourage the newcomers in the field of cricket.
