Today's cabinet meeting has reportedly been cancelled since the President had threatened to boycott meetings until the Parliamentary Select Committee on the terrorist attacks is suspended.
Cabinet meetings are generally held on Tuesday of every week.
However, a pre-cabinet meeting had been conducted by the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe with the participation of cabinet ministers at Temple Trees yesterday (Jun 10). Two acting ministers who were sworn in yesterday, had also reportedly attended yesterday's cabinet discussion.
Talks at yesterday's cabinet meeting had revolved around the President's remarks concerning the Parliamentary Select Committee.
Meanwhile, a group of ministers are set to meet the President in this regard in near future.
