A no-confidence motion will be brought against Western Province Governor Azath Salley, Opposition Leader of the Western Provincial Council (WPC) Manju Sri Arangala said.
Mr. Arangala added that the motion would be submitted before the council by the UNP. Several other minor parties are also expected to vote for the motion, he said.
The term of the WPC is expected to conclude before April 21.
Therefore, the Opposition Leader of the WPC said that the no-confidence motion would be put forward and passed before the tenure of the council ended.
