All 31 foreigners from 15 countries left the Quarantine Centres (QCS) after completing two week long mandatory quarantine process, Head of National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) Army Chief Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva said today.
A total of 187 quarantined returnees from Diyatalawa, Rantembe and Pompeimadu Quarantine Centres (QCs) after the two-week long quarantine process, left for their homes yesterday after receipt of Quarantine Certificates. With this, a total of 2308 quarantined individuals have so far left those QCs, manned by Tri Forces.
“As of now, 1683 persons are still in quarantine in 40 island-wide QCs. Arrangements are also underway as of now to refer some 300 plus individuals, believed to have got in contact with the COVID patient who died yesterday. Another batch of 312 quarantined individuals is also ready to proceed home by today,” Head of the NOCPCO told the Media.
