A cat trapped for more than 30 hours between a brick wall and a newly placed outer boarding of a commercial establishment under construction was rescued by a group of vendors in Nuwara Eliya town, residents said.
The cat had fallen from the top of the building to a space between the wall and the sheets newly placed outside the wall for beauficition purposes.
The street vendors who heard the cat struggling to free itself managed to remove the pavement concrete blocks and get the cat to the bottom and rescue the animal, they said. (Pix & News by Shelton Hettiarachchi)
