One arrested for attempting to deposit fake currency note
An individual has been arrested for attempting to make a cash deposit using a fake Rs 5000 currency note at a bank in Nikaweratiya yesterday (Sept 30).
Police said that the arrest had been made after being informed about the incident by bank employees.
The suspect, a 23-year old, is due to be produced before the Nikaweratiya Magistrate's Court today.
