A driver who ignored signals by Navy personnel to stop at a roadblock has died after gun shots were fired at his vehicle in Hunupitiya, Wattala this morning.

Meanwhile, another driver who also ignored such signals has been hospitalised following injuries after Navy personnel opened fire at his vehicle, Navy Spokesman Lieutenant Commander Isuru Sooriyabandara said.
