One individual was injured in a shooting that took place in the vicinity of the Polwatte Bridge in Weligama earlier today (Jan 21).
The shooting had taken place when an unidentified individual who had arrived on a motorcyle opened fire at the victim who was travelling on another motorcycle.
The victim has been identified as 38-year old Krishantha Manjula, a resident of Matara.
He is currently receiving treatment at the Matara General hospital.
